On March 10th, 2023, our geotechnical and geomechanical laboratory obtained the release of the Ministerial Authorization for carrying out soil tests, updating the equipment with modern systems compliant with the requirements of the Industry 4.0 Transition.
Following a significant investment for the expansion and updating of the test equipment fleet, GD Test requested and obtained the extension of the Ministerial Authorization (circular n.7618/STC of 8/9/2010) for the sector A (tests on soils) in addition to sector B (tests on rocks) already owned since 2013. In particular, new automatic remote-controlled equipment was acquired (fully automated direct shear machine and climatic cabinet with programmable variation of environmental parameters of temperature and humidity) and the revamping of the shear machines, the oedometers and the apparatus for the triaxial tests was carried out through the implementation of automatic acquisition and control systems, sensors and devices capable of ensuring the interconnection and management remotely via the corporate computer network.
